David I-Ho Sun

1951 - 2017

David I-Ho Sun, 66 left his body peacefully the morning of December 14th, 2017 after a strong year’s battle with stomach cancer. David is survived by his wife, May Yu, his younger brother, Joseph Sun (wife Sharon Sun), his younger sister, Lorraine Sun (husband Paul Thrush), his older sister Lucy Sun (husband Jenn-Tai Hwang), his three daughters, Daisy Sun, Iris Sun, and Kate Hsiao, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Lily and YS Sun, many dear aunts and cousins, and his many beloved pets throughout his life.

David enjoyed giving his patient heart and brilliant mind to all living things. He also enjoyed the outdoors greatly, though we learned he was fearful of heights upon a recent trip to the Grand Canyon. David spent his career as a professor and electrical engineer prior to retiring last year. He was an active member of New Hope International Church. He will be missed by all, living in our hearts forever.
